White Mulberry, Morus alba



Habitat: Ubiquitous; thickets, roadsides, meadows, pastures, clearings. A tree originally imported from China.

Characteristics: Often attains a height of 30-60 feet, and having a diameter of 1-3 feet. Leave bases are uneven, often heart-shaped, and lobed. Flowers appear in mid-to-late spring; fruits edible, but tasteless.
