Sour cherry, Prunus cerasus



Habitat: A very common tree that is originally from Europe. Typically found in meadows, hardwood forests, farms, roadsides, and, often grown as an ornamental.

Characteristics: Trees may attain a height of 20-40 feet; the trunks having a diameter of 1-1 1/2 feet. The leaves are 2-6 inches long; the flowers are white to light pink.
